Up to 16 girl campers (recommended ages, 13-19) will join True Body Project founder Stacy Sims and guest artists for a weeklong journey to discover our true bodies, true voices and true selves.
Each day, True Body girls will engage in movement including yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi and will also do writing and art making activities to connect to their artistic voices. True Body campers will also spend ample time outdoors, whether walking the labyrinth or sitting in a fire circle at night. The week will culminate in a session designed for family and friends and selections from the girls' creative work will be featured on the www.truebodyproject.org website.
Hope Springs Institute is an hour and a half drive east of Cincinnati, Ohio. They serve wonderful, organic meals and the beautiful property features a yoga studio, a spirit house and a labyrinth. Visit www.hopespringswomencenter.com
The fee is $1200 and includes room, board, all meals and activities. RECEIVE a $200 discount for enrollment before April 15, 2008. Stacy Sims, Program Director and Founder of the True Body Project, in 2001, left a
career in marketing and arts management to finish her first novel, Swimming Naked (Viking, 2004). Stacy is also the owner of Pendelton Pilates, which she founded in 2001.
She runs a nationally recognized Teacher Training program, has been published in national
fitness and yoga magazines and has conducted workshops in the U.S. and abroad. Stacy
is at work on her second novel and is a sought after speaker and presenter on the topics of addiction, mind and body alignment, and purposeful leadership
